The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup, and will be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries; India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It will be Bangladesh's first time co-hosting a Cricket World Cup. The World Cup will be Played as per One Day International format, with fourteen national cricket teams scheduled to compete. The World Cup will take place during the months of February and March 2011, The opening ceremony of the world cup scheduled to be on Febraury 17th at sher-e-bangla stadium, dhaka, bangladesh with the first match being played between india and bangladesh on 19 February 2011 in the same venue. A total of 49 matches will be played in the 43-day tournament tournament, which was reallocated following the International Cricket Council's decision to drop Pakistan as a co-host because of security concerns.there will be 49 matches will be played in this world cup out them 29 in India(8 grounds), 12 in Srilanka(3 grounds), and 8 in Bangladesh (2 grounds).
